Transformer 12-0-12V 60VA

The Transformer 12-0-12V 60VA is a step-down mains transformer with a centre-tapped 12-0-12 V AC secondary and a power rating of 60 VA. The centre tap gives 12 V AC on each half or 24 V AC across the full winding, so it is ideal for building dual-rail (±) linear power supplies for audio amplifiers and op-amp circuits, as well as single 12 V or 24 V supplies.

Tip: Mains wiring is dangerous: insulate the primary connections, add a fuse on the primary side and earth the frame if it has an earth point. Measure the secondary voltage before connecting your circuit, as it reads a little higher with no load.
