Transistor 2N6027

The Transistor 2N6027 is a programmable unijunction transistor (PUT) in a TO-92 package. Unlike a fixed UJT, its trigger point is set by two external resistors on the gate, so you can tune the circuit to your needs. It is a classic part for relaxation oscillators, timers, pulse generators and triggering SCRs and triacs.

Tip: The PUT turns on when the anode rises about 0.6 V above the gate, so set the gate voltage with a resistor divider and charge a capacitor on the anode through a resistor to make a simple oscillator. Check the pinout in the datasheet, as it differs from ordinary bipolar transistors.
