Description
The V4.0 Sensor Shield is an expansion board that plugs on top of an Arduino Uno and turns the I/O pins into 3-pin headers with ground, power and signal side by side. Sensors, servo motors and modules then connect with a single 3-wire cable, without a breadboard and without running separate power and ground wires. It is a quick way to build robots and multi-sensor projects in class or at home.
V4.0 Sensor Shield Specifications
- Compatible boards: Arduino Uno and boards with the same standard header layout
- Digital I/O: digital pins broken out as 3-pin headers (GND, VCC, signal)
- Analog inputs: A0–A5 broken out as 3-pin headers (GND, VCC, signal)
- Communication port: 4-pin connector that can be set to I2C or UART with jumpers
- Header pitch: 2.54 mm, fits Dupont and standard servo connectors
- Mounting: stacks directly on the Arduino headers
V4.0 Sensor Shield Applications
- Robots and robotic arms with several servos
- Projects that combine many sensor modules
- STEM classes and workshops where wiring must be quick and tidy
- Fast prototyping with plug-in sensor modules
What's in the Box
- 1 × V4.0 sensor shield (Arduino board not included)
Tip: Match the cable colours to the GND, VCC and signal pins before plugging in a module, because a reversed connector can damage it. Several servos together can draw more current than the Arduino's 5 V pin can supply, so power large servo setups from a separate supply with a shared ground.
