Description

The Vibration Switch Module is a small sensor board with a spring-type vibration switch that makes contact briefly when the board is shaken or knocked. It has a 3-pin header and connects straight to a digital input on an Arduino, ESP32 or ESP8266, which makes it an easy way to detect shocks and movement in alarm, toy and game projects.

Vibration Switch Module Specifications

  • Sensor: spring-type vibration (shock) switch
  • Module type: KY-002 style
  • Pins: S (signal), middle (+), − (GND)
  • Supply voltage: 3.3 V to 5 V
  • Output: digital pulses while vibration is detected

Vibration Switch Module Applications

  • Shock and tamper alarms for doors, boxes and bikes
  • Knock and tap detection
  • Movement triggers for toys and games
  • Waking a sleeping microcontroller with an interrupt
  • STEM sensor kits and classroom experiments

What's in the Box

  • 1 × vibration switch module

Tip: The switch produces short, bouncy pulses rather than a steady signal, so read it with an interrupt or check the pin often in your code. Add a short debounce delay so that each knock counts as one event.
