The XBOX 360 Kinect Sensor is Microsoft's motion-sensing camera for the Xbox 360, combining a colour camera, an infrared depth sensor and a microphone array in one bar. Beyond gaming, it is a low-cost depth camera for makers and students: with drivers such as libfreenect or the Kinect for Windows SDK 1.8 it can track people, measure distance and build 3D maps on a PC or Raspberry Pi.
