Description

The Base Shield V2.0 for Arduino is a Grove expansion shield that plugs on top of an Arduino Uno and turns its pins into standard 4-pin Grove connectors. With it you can connect Grove sensors, displays and actuators with a single cable each, without breadboards, jumper wires or soldering, which makes it ideal for classrooms, quick prototypes and beginners.

Base Shield V2.0 Specifications

  • Grove ports: 16 in total
  • Analog ports: 4 (A0–A3)
  • Digital ports: 7 (D2–D8)
  • I2C ports: 4
  • UART port: 1
  • Power selection: switch for 3.3 V or 5 V on the Grove ports
  • Extras: reset button
  • Fits: Arduino Uno and other boards with the Uno R3 header layout, such as the Leonardo and Mega 2560

Base Shield V2.0 Applications

  • Connecting Grove sensors, buttons, LEDs and relays to an Arduino
  • STEM classes and school labs without wiring errors
  • Fast prototyping of IoT and home automation ideas
  • Workshops and hackathons where setup time is short

What's in the Box

  • 1 × Base Shield V2.0 for Arduino (Grove)

Tip: Set the power switch to 5 V for an Arduino Uno and to 3.3 V only for 3.3 V boards and modules. Each Grove port carries two signal pins (port D2 uses D2 and D3), so if a module uses both pins, leave the next port free.
