Brass Coupler (3.17-5mm)

The Brass Coupler (3.17-5mm) is a rigid brass shaft coupler with a 3.17 mm (1/8 in) bore on one end and a 5 mm bore on the other. The 1/8 in shaft is common on RC motors, while 5 mm is the standard shaft size of NEMA 17 stepper motors and many drive shafts, so this coupler is useful for adapting one to the other in models, robots and small machines.

Tip: A rigid coupler needs the two shafts to be well aligned. For a stepper motor driving a long lead screw, a flexible coupler is usually the better choice because it tolerates small misalignment.
